Of the 7 states that come under the title of the UAE, it's Abu Dhabi and Dubai that we are interested in. Over the last 40 years Abu Dhabi has grown from a small fishing village into one of the world's wealthiest cities thanks to its rich oil fields. The beautiful weather has now started to attract holidaymakers to the area and there is a rapidly developing tourist industry. Dubai can claim a very similar history and has grown to become a veritable western consumer oasis on the edge of a desert wilderness. Adding to the luxury found here are seasonal imports of Old Speckled Hen, Abbot, County and IPA.
